You need to be a member of Oxfordshire Basketmakers in order to participate in our workshops. Membership only costs £10.00 a year and, apart from advice about our regular workshops, you will receive other benefits including a newsletter three times a year and opportunities to exhibit. The business part of our meeting will be followed by a talk on Conservation of Basketry Artefacts at the Pitt Rivers Museum by Miriam Orsini, VERVE Conservator at the Museum. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to catch up with other members. If any new members are planning to come along, please do introduce yourself to one of the committee members.

The first day of this workshop will be spent familiarising ourselves with the material and how to prepare it. On the second day, participants will focus on making cordage and/or plaited pieces.
